Throughout his career the interpretations of a Data Owner’s (Credit Ratings, Exchanges, Index Providers, Inter Dealer Brokers, Data Vendors and latterly Social Media) data license agreement/policy has always been a source of concern for all stakeholders despite the best efforts of major market participants to agree standardised terminology.
